Childcare Fire Rebuild and Fit-Out

Following a major electrical fire, the childcare centre sustained significant damage throughout the premises. Construct Services was engaged to complete the building works under the landlord’s insurance policy, with the project later expanding to include the tenant’s internal fit-out.

The building was stripped back to the perimeter walls, with the roof and ceilings replaced, new air conditioning installed, and the internal structure rebuilt to create an open floor plan.

The tenant fit-out included new internal walls, stud framing, bathrooms, child-sized toilet cubicles and other facilities designed specifically for a childcare environment. This included requirements such as tempered taps to control water temperature in bathrooms and showers.

By managing both the insured building works and the tenant fit-out, Construct Services was able to coordinate the project as one integrated rebuild and deliver a strong outcome for both the property owner and the tenant.
